Cut from oak wine barrels that were originally imported from France, these wood chunks have lived their lives housing notable NZ Chardonnays and Syrahs, usually for around five years.

Tipsy Squirrel was created by the family that brings you Stim Craftmanship in Hawkes Bay, creators of bespoke home, decor and furniture products from wine barrels and reclaimed Native timbers.

As is the nature of what they do, there is always excess timber material from their creations. It is in the endevour to minimise waste, that the idea for Tipsy Squirrel was born.

These wood chunks are cut to roughly 4cm and hand sorted, to provide you with the best possible product. With both the choice of Chardonay or Syrah, these oak chunks are perfect for enhancing the flavour and experience of your wood-fire BBQ cooking, and your mates will love it!
